Why budget matters

Higher priced sticks are usually lighter and use more advanced carbon construction. They are not automatically a better fit, especially for a growing player.

How HockeyFit makes this recommendation

HockeyFit begins with the common weight based flex guideline, then adjusts for a player's age, experience, competition level, preferred feel and shot type. Length starts in the chin to nose fitting zone while wearing skates, then considers position and puck control preference. Products are ranked for fit first, not simply price.

This is a fitting guide, not a guarantee. Before cutting or buying, hold the exact stick in skates and confirm the lie, shaft length and ability to load it with a coach or experienced fitter.
